Overview

All crew employed in any capacity onboard a ship or any other vessel must undertake approved security awareness training. Our half-day Proficiency in Security Awareness course provides the necessary knowledge and skills to crew intending to work on ships without a Designated Security Duty onboard.

The Proficiency in Security Awareness course is not part of the mandatory STCW Basic Safety Training course however, it can be booked as an additional element that runs in conjunction with our STCW course.

What our previous students have to say

I recently completed my training with flying fish. From booking the course all the way through to receiving my certificates the team made it an effortless process and were always on hand to help.

I completed the Superyacht Deckhand course with Flying Fish in January 2023 and I highly recommend anyone interested in starting a career in yachting do their training with Flying Fish.
