how to get a job on a Superyacht
Become a Deckhand

Being prepared for life onboard

Working on a Superyacht is well documented, there is a lot of information about life onboard. However, what is not well publicised is the preperation required to find that dream job.

To get a job on a Superyacht is completly different from any other job, which is part of the attraction. For example, if you work for, say Flying Fish, you would finish at 17:30 and go home however, on a Superyacht, you live onboard. It is therefore very important that the yacht finds the right candidate that can not only do the day job but has the right personal qualities to live and work onboard.

Having a perfect CV is one of the most important factors in landing that first job. It’s fair to say that a Yachting CV is completly different to a normal employment CV, you will need a photo, employer references, cover letters. The next stage is the process of fidning that dream job as well as gertting prepeared for like working on a Superyacht.

How do I get paid and in what currencey, MLC contracts, do’s and don’t – the list goes on…
