Overview
The aim of this one-day course is to give everyone who intends to go to sea a basic induction into accident prevention and health and safety issues onboard a ship.
You will become familiarised with normal employment conditions in the onboard working environment. This classroom-based day also forms part of the mandatory safety training for Superyacht crew.

There are no formal pre-course requirements but you must be 18 to enrol on this course.
For successful completion, 100% attendance is required, and students are expected to actively participate in all elements of the course.
During the classroom-based day of training, you will cover these topics:
- Induction into accident prevention.
- Health and safety issues onboard a ship.
- Familiarisation with normal employment conditions in the onboard working environment.
