Overview
Our two-and-a-half-day course is designed to provide seafarers with the knowledge and skills to prevent fires on board ships and respond to fire emergencies effectively. The course typically consists of theoretical and practical components, including classroom instruction, live fire drills, and hands-on training with fire-fighting equipment.
This is part of the mandatory STCW Basic Safety Training Course, required by all crew who work on commercial vessels.
The Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting course is physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness. We recommend that all customers complete an ENG1 medical or equivalent medical before enrolling on this course. If you have concerns about your fitness, then please get in touch with Flying Fish.
