In 2017 the rules were updated, in addition to the 4 elements above, seafarers starting a career at sea are required to complete:
5. Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA)
All 5 modules are incuded as part of our STCW Basic Safety Training Course.
If you intend to work at sea on any commercial vessel, whether that be a ferry, cruise ship, superyacht, etc.. then you will need to complete Basic Safety Training Course before you step onboard. The qualifications you recieve are international recognised meaning you can work onboard anywhere in the world.
